Don’t Waste Your Time – Get Training SDL Trados is like any complex tool – the more you know about its features, the more useful it is. Learning to use its basic and advanced features correctly will make your translation work more efficient and save you time and frustration. The time and money you invest in proper training, will most likely pay itself back fast and many times over.
How To Get Training? SDL International offers official Trados and MultiTerm training in classroom format as well as online. For details, see translationzone.com.
In addition, many local translator organizations offer Trados workshops. For contact information of the US-based organizations, click here.
I provide basic, advanced and customized Trados 2007, Trados Studio 2009 and MultiTerm training, consultation and troubleshooting for:
- Individual translators
- Translation agencies/departments
- Small groups
- Translator associations
In addition to classroom workshops and onsite training, I am also able to provide fully customized and interactive training and troubleshooting online. This is an excellent solution when you want more personal training, or want to quickly learn a specific feature or find a solution to a specific problem without having to buy a full-length training session, or if you just want to quickly see what Trados does and how it can help you in your translation work.
I am an SDL-approved Trados Trainer (for Trados 2007 and Trados Studio 2009) and have taught hundreds of translators and project managers worldwide onsite, online and in workshops and have published several Trados-related articles. In addition, I have used Trados for almost ten years as an English to Finnish technical translator so I know what translators really need to know about Trados.
If you need any additional information about Trados training in general or the training and consultation options I offer, please contact me at tuomas@jps.net. I look forward to helping you to make your Trados translation experience easier and more efficient.
